Princess Emeraude from the manga Magic Knight Rayearth. The strength of her will and her prayers kept the country of Cephiro alive, but in her death, the beautiful country succumbed to despair and disaster, the world breaking apart and the beauty utterly detroyed.

This was yet another project from my highschool art class. It's roughly 2' by 3' feet, watercolors, and was something i was extremely proud of way back when.

In accordance with several opinions about what art constitutes, and what constitutes 'tracing' and whatnot (a lot of discussion has been going on about this, and several varieties of the exact definiton) i want to make a note that way back in school, i eye-balled this scene directly from the manga, the little-waterfall in her hands taken from another page, the two things put together and whole thing and colors done at my discretion. I take no credit for the line-art or the characters as they weren't my original idea in the first place, but i was, and still am, incredibly proud of myself for being able to have eye-balled this large project from an 8x5 manga page. ^_^ I'm still in love with the painting and colors, and absolutely love the characters forever
